Sixth Seal
On the morning of May 18 an earthquake with a 5.1 Richter magnitude triggered a gigantic landslide on the mountain's north face. The north slope fell away in an avalanche that was followed and overtaken by a lateral air blast, which carried a high-velocity cloud of superheated ash and stone outward more than 12 miles (20 km) from Mount St. Helens' summit. The avalanche and lateral blast were followed by mudflows, pyroclastic flows, and floods that buried the river valleys east of Mount St. Helens in deep layers of mud and debris for as far away as 17 miles (27 km). Meanwhile, simultaneously with the avalanche, a vertical eruption of gas and ash formed a column more than 12 miles high that produced ash falls as far east as central Montana. Sixty people and thousands of animals were killed in the May 18 event, and ten million trees were blown down by the lateral air blast. At the event's end Mount St. Helens' volcanic cone had been completely blasted away; in place of its 9,680-foot (2,950-metre) peak was a horseshoe-shaped crater with a rim reaching elevations of about 8,000 feet (2,400 m). Further eruptions have occurred since the May 18 explosion, and a dome of lava has grown intermittently in the crater.

A study from Shepherds chapel students concerning the Mt. St. Helens explosion,
Dated 12/26/81:"In one of your recent tapes, the question was asked, why are there so many Biblical names around Mt. St. Helens? Let me assure you, this same question has been on our minds for months. (skip) These "place Names" and the circumstances are no accident or just "so happens" . It is far too detailed and complete for it to have been so. His great Plan and Purpose is being revealed. So, as you would say, Arnold, "lets Sharpen up." Bare with me and some crude sketches. Some attempt will be made to understand our Father's most perfect wisdom that He would have us know in the end times.

First and as you know Helen means truth and/or light. I would like to take it a bit farther.. Truth and Light on the Great Deception seems to be the key word, so we must keep that in mind. You are already familiar with "Place Names" that are associated with the mountain, but let's look a bit farther.

On May 18, 1980, the first big explosive eruption, complete darkness came upon an area to the east and slightly to the north of the mountain. Ash and powdered pumice stone fell on this area, more than 100 miles away, to a depth of 8 to 12 inches. Now if you were to look at a map of this area, you would see three more Biblical place names. The most severe ash fallout, pollution, Deception was here.

Keep in mind that the ash contaminated the atmosphere of the WORLD. I'm sure there is no need for me to try to enlarge on MOSES LAKE or the ROYAL CITY. We all know that which has been darkened, polluted, by those who claim to be God's chosen people. Is it an accident that these three cities sat downwind from the volcano on May 18, 1980???

Mt. St. Helens sits in the high back country in the Cascade Range. Except for some isolated logging roads, there is only one road that will take you close in to its base. At the end of this, perhaps 30 miles, climbing road sat Harry Truman's Lodge, a picnic area, an observation point overlooking Spirit Lake and a close-up view of the mountain, The point is that the vast majority of people, that ever saw Mt. St. Helens close-up, was from this point only.

There were many words used to describe the beauty from this point of view:.. A giant ice cream cone that someone had taken a few licks on; perfect in shape; looks like Mt.. Fuji in Japan; beautiful with all the snow (glaciers) on top! Most people never realized that they were not looking at the top. They were looking at false summit. Their view was looking south at the north side of the mountain. What they saw was an imposter, so to speak, in a high place sitting on the NORTH side. A beautiful actor PRETENDING to be the real summit (EL). "O Tyrus, thou hast said, I am of perfect beauty." "Thy builders have perfected thy beauty."
(Ez. 27).

Looking farther: just below the false summit was a strange rock formation, (Goat Rocks). Many things can be made of this, but let's look at who was OVER it or sitting on it... the false one. Now where are there other (goat rocks) that a false one will sit, (rule) over?

Let's look at the Holy City of Jerusalem and the wailing wall. Our LORD says, Not one stone left standing atop another. In an instant, the false one on Mt. St. Helens was brought down and the goat rocks were reduced to dust. Almost at the same instant another strange thing happened. The old man on the mountain, Harry Truman lost his life. He refused to leave, so therefore was destroyed. Is it not strange that the meaning of the name, Harry, is (army power) (hordes of Gog and Magog)? The meaning of the name of Truman is: FAITHFUL MAN. Faithful could never be applied to our people. It is the Kenites who were faithful to their father and refused to drink the wine (Jer:35). Is it not strange that another Harry Truman was the 33rd President of the United States in 1948 when the false one was SET UP?

On a clear day, we see Mt. St. Helens in the distance from our back yard. It is no longer the beautiful one. It is so desolate; and people will exclaim, I can't believe it is the same mountain! Today there is a gaping hole in the top, approx. a mile wide, 2 miles. long and hundreds of feet deep. Down inside is a dome, bigger than 4 football fields, and the whole interior is fire, brimstone and sulphuric gases. The False Summit is in the pit. Is this the man that deceived the whole world? The Plains of Abraham endure yet and will blossom again.

The Goat Rocks and the Wailing Wall are both physical remains of an ancient destruction; and both brought destruction to the plains of Abraham both in the Holy Land and at Mt. St. Helens. A footnote to this is that the fir tree no longer prospers in either place, the fir tree being His people.

Now it is my hope that each of you at the Shepherd's Chapel and others can see why Mt. St. Helens is a little special with us. We simply believe that our Father has given us another signpost.
