NOT Chronological

Revelation is not Chronological for one main reason, that is,
It is from God's vantage point, not man's sequential limited brain.

Man views events as chronological
(exemplified in Genesis : historical, sequential, chronological) |

Gods vantage point sees the heart
of man first, his flaws, and how to correct them (Revelation begins with the
flaws of the seven churches) |

Man views time as a slow ticking clock event after event. |
|
God looks forward, backward,
zooming in on crucial affairs, and zooming out
for plot exposure (satan's evil plans, aka Rev. 12). |
|
God's vantage point focuses on the heart,
not on simple subdivisions of a ticking clock. |
|
Seven means Spiritual Perfection, NOT chronological
perfection. The tribulation will perfect the firstfruits,
spiritually. |

1. The seven churches are
sent orders on how to repent |
|
2. The seven Seals,
Trumps, and Vials (flat shallow bowls) are sent to correct the people on the
earth. |
|
The subject of Revelation continuously switches from heaven to
earth (neither are on the same clock, nor the same dimension!) |
Now, we can find the correct chronology, by noting the
Holy Spirit's markings of our
Bible. Those good ole' figures of speech. Here is an example using
Revelation 13, concerning the Political and Religious Beasts. The above
statements apply to WHY Revelation was not written Chronologically; however
there are many segments of time mentioned, and when properly arranged, one could
see the clear indications of "how long", so many of
the prophets wanted to know.
Prolepsis
I couldn’t wait to tell you about this figure,
Prolepsis!
It discourages the
chronological progression of words. It is an
anticipation of a future event, stated way before it will happen.
In Revelation 13:3b, where the
DEADLY WOUND IS HEALED we have a Prolepsis, or
advance to the 6th trump, even though the second beast doesn’t "rise"
till v.11, this figure allows mention of future events before they are
"officially" explained. That means from 13:3b to 13:8 including the now infamous
42 months
all pertains to the second beast (yes before it is explained in v.11). So, I
conclude that this 42 months is the period to be SHORTENED to 5mths. REASON -
This POWER (given) will be REMOVED before it is full.
Our CLUE that a PROLEPSIS has occurred is within the overlooked verse 9.
Rev 13:9
9 If any man have an ear, let him hear.
When have you heard this before? After Christ spoke a parable (a figure of
speech)! So, he uses this to clue us in, to listen more carefully. Maybe
this is given after a figure of speech is used.
Bullinger has another example of Prolepsis that is the mention of the
second death in 2:11, but its occurrence and
explanation is in :
Rev 20:14
14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
In Revelation 8:1 I suggest another prolepsis.
The space of half an hour
refers directly to satan defacto, although the chronology of the rest of the
chapter flashes back to before the silence, and continues chronologically until
trump six where the space of half an hour occurs.
In support of this, it appears John is in heaven, watching the events from
heaven up to 8:6 according to Bullinger. So, if John is in heaven, where
earthly time is longer, than we must find what is equal to heavenly time.
In Revelation the Beast has one hour (God's vantage point) on earth or 5 months
(man's vantage point). Therefore 1/2 hr in heaven may = 2 1/2 mths on
earth.
We could say, John is watching a
"preview", before it actually happens. Then the trouble actually begins on
earth, when the trumps start to blow. John knows what will happen in the
sixth trump, as it was shown to him.
The "space of half an hour" is
placed exactly where it goes,
Spurious Messiah’s de facto reign on earth.
In order of importance it is given first. In order of occurrence, it is
mention in trump 6.
The equation begins in Revelation 9, where
5 months is mentioned, and Rev. 17:12 "they received power one hour with the
beast" (one hour heaven time). Rev. 9 therefore shows 5 months earth time
= one hour heaven time, because the two events are synonymous.
But Rev. 8 gives us additional information
about this "one hour" heaven time. For the Beast Satan himself, he only
gets half as much time as the rest of the bunch, on earth,
pretending to be Jesus, ready to rapture them all
away.
