An exposition of Rev. 13 through the use of the figure Polysyndeton.
the sand of the sea (i.e., the dragon, when cast out from heaven)And he stood upon
![]()
Note how perfectly the RED
shows the actions of the Dragon.
First on the sea shore: Who stood on the edge of the SEA and lifted his
arms to raise the WATERS into TWO Walls??? Who is satan mocking/copying here???
Remember the magicians who couldn’t copy all of Moses and Aaron’s
miracles?? Perhaps, satan is raising the two beasts (as Bully suggest) in some
hideous form of witchcraft
to copy what God did with the prophet Moses (remember he wanted his bones!!).
Nah 3:4 Because of the multitude of the whoredoms of the wellfavoured harlot,
the mistress of witchcrafts, that selleth nations through her
whoredoms, and families through her witchcrafts.

drunken with the golden cup of apostasy |
This scripture confirms this great harlot who
rides on this first beast, drunken with the golden cup of apostasy, was in fact
also the MISTRESS OF WITCHCRAFTS. DRAGON (satan) being her mate. And indeed the
beast is "called forth" by a spell.

By using the figure
Polysyndeton here we see what the Holy Spirit points to as the most
important event of satan's arrival on earth before he announces to be God.
The Hebrew expression is one of horror and gall. Probably the most memorable
and recognizable events in Revelation, when those two beasts are called from OUT
of the WATER. {Just a side note, remember in the Little Mermaid, when the
octopus lady raised herself up and lifted up her arms in POWER and chanted the
witchcraft spell? Maybe the kenites give themselves away, or they try to mock
our ignorance.}
"And the Dragon gave him his power" We know the powers of the heavens will be
shaken (Luke 21). We must also note that here is an undeniable exchange of
power between God, satan, and the beasts. This exchange of power is rather
important to the time elements in this passage. Because if satan has
power to continue, but God takes it from him, well then his 42 mths will be
over. TIME UP.
"And he opened his mouth in blasphemy". And He, that hideous deceitful horrible
dragon. To describe the action of speech, almost in slow motion is using
exaggeration because it is redundant to say "He opened his mouth to speak".
The exaggeration emphasizes the disbelief that this evil one will spare no
expense to say the unthinkable. Perhaps, he began by saying, "See, I raised up
the waters, just like Moses!"
Also, note the alteration between the Dragon's actions and John "seeing". Of
course, John is the narrarator, but all eyes are fixed on the Dragon;
even, to the point of a slow motion effect. A hypnotic, evil, enchanting
event will capture the "sight" of the world, even as John "saw" through the eyes
of a prophet (contrasting the blindness of the world).
By noting two separate times that John "saw", two notes need
to be made. The first time John "saw", he saw the beast, complete in power and
complete with horns, CROWNS, & NAMES.
What is the first thing you do when your baby is born? NAME IT! The number seven
is spiritual COMPLETENESS. The beast is complete as far as spiritual Blasphemy
is concerned. It is in FULL and COMPLETE POWER.
